Legal Issues

In Jamaica VoIP International Ltd is WEBCOM’s authorized representative.  VoIP International Ltd is a duly registered Jamaican corporation and is a licensed telecommunications carrier and service provider.  The two (2) licenses that where granted to VoIP International Ltd by the Ministry of Commerce, Science & Technology are in keeping with The Telecommunications Act, 2000 and was approved on the 1^st July 2003.  They are as follows:

1.      [Voice/Data/Transit] Carrier License

2.      International [Voice/Data] Service Provider License

Verification of the above licenses can be obtained by calling the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) at (876) 968-6053.

These licenses allow VoIP International Ltd to operate legally in Jamaica while selling and servicing the Yap Jack and other related hardware and service to the Jamaican consumer. 

Net2Phone Relationship

Webcom USA Inc has served as a Net2Phone Reseller for the past three (3) years and is considered a high-tier partner for Net2Phone.   Webcom’s contract with Net2Phone is in full force.  On the 12^th February, 2004, Webcom signed an amendement to their current reseller agreement which gives them the right to operate within the territories of USA, Belize, Guyana, Dominican Republic, Trinidad & Tobago, Grenada and Jamaica.
